Alien head sculpt
It's been a while since I did some zbrusing.....had a bit of time at work to day so did a quick sculpt - just to get back in the workflow. It started out as a human head and evolved from that. Thinking about retopologize it...maybe even creating a whole character, we'll see.

Inktober 2016 Day #31
Final day - and I made it! With somewhat varying quality I will have to say - but my main goal from the beginning was always to produce a sketch or drawing every day - to just get it done, knowing very well that I culdn't spend hours upon hours coming up with the perfect idea, character design staging etc. etc.
It had to be manageable.
So for my last inktober sketch naturally I made a tortoise because it's halloween - makes perfect sense right :)

Inktober 2016 Day #22
- Not quite done with pokemon go.....but it is getting closer, winter is coming and new or exiting pokemons are getting scarcer. Since the last migration Onix have been a frequent visitor in my back yard. Cool looking beast, and you would think he has got some power behind that rocky exterior...but noooo he is actually somewhat of a weakling.....

Inktober 2016 Day #15
- More images of the proces. For once I am really glad I took those pictures....I should have stopped before....that black color in the background didn't do me any favours....well what can you do, part of the charm with this is that there is no undo or ctrl+z
....so don't make mistakes - or do and then hopefully learn from them :)

Inktober 2016 Day #14
- This was a sketch from a couple of days ago - didn't intend to use it - so the page was removed from my sketchbook (trying to do all the inktober drawings in one an the same) but this didn't turn out as hoped. Then after I had given up on it I just kept adding to it - and it became....okay.
I am not 100% pleased with the outcome, but it is late Friday and I need a drawing for to day :)
-so here it is....

Inktober 2016 Day #9
-
Day 9 and at least here in DK it is a grey and rainy Sunday...what
could be better than to sit inside, getting bored and just let your mind
flow free. A bit of peace and quiet to give room for the imagination.
And should you fail then get comfortable on the sofa, drink some hot
cocoa and watch a movie :)
.....in fact I'll think I'll do that nowSaturday, October 8, 2016

Inktober 2016 Day #7
- Day seven and still going strong. Due to a couple of hours of pokemon cathing and some ill-advised pre-dinner snacking my real meal for the evening got pushed back and al of a sudden the entire evening was gone....and still I was missing my daily drawing. So I moved fast - he started out as a golfer - but now I think he looks more like the gay biker from the village people :)

Inktober 2016 Day #6
- A dragon....think it turned out okay - but I actually prefer the little thumbnail sketch I did initially, so much more immediate and full of life, whereas the more "clean" drawing loses in translation and to some extent "dies" - this is not news to me, the problem is that whenever I want to clean up a drawing I need it to be "perfect" - eventhough I like the sketches so much more.....must try to make some sketches - and publish them - and be ok with their lack of imperfection -

Inktober 2016 Day #3
- It's a Viking - and he is angry.....for some reason, and he is holding a......spoon not really sure why but while drawing him I started thinking about the three bears and the porridge and so the axe or sword he was holding before became a spoon -

Inktober 2016 Day #2
- Day 2 not a Pokemon instead a Corgi. I just find them absolutely adorable - at least to look at - never owned one so maybe they are little monsters once you get them over your doorstep - who knows? -

Inktober 2016 Day #1
- So I went with a pokemon to kick off inktober, a little Bulbasaur - sketched and inked.
I spend about 35 minutes on this one - while the lasagna was heating in the oven :) -
Inktober 2016
So....it has been way to long since last I postet anything in here, eventhough I had promised myself at the beginning of the new year, that this year I would be more active. Well....good intentions and all that. Work got in the way some of the time, and as I also enjoy doing nothing I also had to find time for that in my busy schedule.
And around April I got hooked on "The Division" - never thought of myself as being a gamer, still not convinced that I am one - but running around the streets of New York killing bad guys was surprisingly fun.
And since late July I have been walking around trying to catch 'em all - still haven't - but now with winter coming, and the appearance of new and undiscovered pokemons becoming less and less frequent I am thinking about quiting. So hopefully I'll take the time to create and post more often.
And what better way to start again than to join yet another installment of "Inktober"
I got some new gear to play with and hopefully I'll be able to make one new drawing every day....didn't go that well last year but I have high hopes.

8 Ping Pong (that is actually tabletennis)
The latest craze at the company I work for is table tennis and it has been so ever since we moved to our new office space last autumn. For this match-up my opponent Bendsen had brought his go pro camera in an attempt to capture our ping pong awesomeness. What was approximately a 30 min match was condensed to this little video by Bendsen, he also added the music. When I saw it I made the suggestion to add a bit of After Effect hoopla - and so this is the result - enjoy.

The Vikings
Here are some images from the second machine I've worked on while at Cego. Finished in late 2015 and it is called Vikings....can you guess the overall theme?
I used Zbrush and Maya for the 3D work. Photoshop for texturing and what not and After Effects was used for compositing. The overall shapes where quickly blocked out in Zbrush- especially for the more organic things. Then over to Maya for retopologizing - then back to zbrush for some quick and easy Uvs, a bit of sculpting, then some polypaint and extrating of normal and texture maps. Rendering was done i MentalRay.

- The top bar from the frame on the main screen. Inspired by the "Jörmungandr" (or "midgårdsorm" in Danish) from Norse mythology. In my version the one "worm" has to tails and the other two heads - it is not a mistake....shhhhh -
- A line up of some of the symbols -

- The same model was used for a side-scolling mini game, here's an early sketch, a concept and the 3D model -
